The story in short
Vladimir is an ancient mage who was there when the empire was born, though he remembers little of those days. Legends tell of a prince given as a hostage to a Darkin, and historians suspect it was him. Vladimir learned the forbidden art of hemomancy, and then he struck the killing blow against his own master.
Since then he has renewed his body countless times with rituals too foul to describe. His alliance with LeBlanc grew into the secret power that has guided the throne of Noxus for over a thousand years: the Black Rose. Now he's back, posing as a gracious socialite and an open critic of the Trifarix, and Swain may be starting to understand what Vladimir really is.
