The story in short
Near the end of his reign, Darkwill tasked the Black Rose with creating a new kind of living weapon. The result was Briar, a creature that feeds on blood, and her very first mission ended in a bloody failure. Too dangerous to use and too powerful to destroy, she was locked in a pillory sealed with a hemolith stone.
During Swain's coup they set her loose on him, but she tore apart everyone around her except Swain, who got away. In her cell she listened to the other living weapons, who talked about nothing but blood. She found it unbearably boring, and what scared her most was becoming like them. Eventually she figured out how the hemolith worked, lured in a guard and escaped. Now she roams Noxus with the pillory locked back in place, until she decides to unlock it herself. And the Black Rose is watching.
