The story in short
Sion was a Noxian warlord who died in battle against the king of Demacia, Jarvan I. Already run through by many weapons, he reached the king, tore off his crown and closed his hand around his throat. The guards stabbed him again and again, but he held on, and only when the king was dead did Sion let death take him.
Half a century later the Black Rose raised him with forbidden magic and presented him to Darkwill. But the revived Sion couldn't be controlled and slaughtered friend and foe alike, so Darkwill had him buried again, bound in chains. After Swain toppled Darkwill, the new ruler sent Sion in an iron cage against rebellious Hvardis, and Sion killed its defenders and razed the city. He remembers only fragments of his life now, and whenever light reaches his tomb he welcomes it, because it means a chance to throw off his chains and spill blood again.
