The Rogue Assassin
Akali was born into the Kinkou. Her mother Mayym was the Fist of Shadow, and Kennen trained Akali from childhood, sure she would follow in her mother's footsteps. When Zed led his coup, young Akali fled the order alongside Kennen.
Shen trained her after that, but over time Akali decided the order was far too passive while Ionia suffered. So she left the Kinkou to hunt her homeland's enemies on her own terms, and Shen let her go without a fight.
Mayym was the Kinkou's Fist of Shadow before she stepped down to train young acolytes. Kennen convinced her that Akali could take her place one day. While training her student Faey, Mayym spent more time with her than with her own daughter.
