The story in short
Before he became the Green Father, Ivern was a fierce warrior of ancient Vorrijaard, whose clan refused to bow to the Three Sisters. He sailed east to find the source of magic, and in Ionia he came upon the God-Willow.
He hacked at the tree with his battle-axe again and again until it fell. In that moment a burst of life swallowed him. Ivern saw new life born from death, and his body turned to bark and branches. Now he carries what's left of the God-Willow inside him, helps every living thing and travels the world with Daisy, his stone golem.
