Ionia
The Rebel
Xayah is a vastaya of the Lhotlan tribe. Humans pushed into vastayan lands, broke the old treaties and smothered Ionia's wild magic, and her tribe was left without a home.
So she leads a rebellion to win back the land and free the magic, so the vastaya can thrive again. Since the Noxian invasion she has taken on both the people of Navori and Zed's Order of Shadow. Rakan is always at her side.
RakanHer belovedThey met at a harvest festival in Vlonqo, where Rakan was singing for the crowd. He soon joined Xayah's rebellion, and in the middle of a tavern brawl the two pledged themselves to each other. Together they freed prisoners from the fortress at Puboe, and during the attack on the temple at Kouln, Rakan shielded her from the falling stones with his own body.
