The story in short
Kong is a vastaya of the Shimon tribe, thrown out for his endless pranks. He calls himself the Monkey King and challenges everyone he meets to a fight or a battle of wits.
He went looking for the legendary masters of Wuju but found only ruins and a single survivor, Yi. After a bet during a sparring match, Kong saw how much Yi blamed himself for the fall of Wuju and decided to fight for Ionia. Yi trained him and gave him an enchanted staff and the name Wukong, and now the two travel Ionia together, fighting Noxian influence.
