Ionia
The Wuju Bladesman
Yi's parents were swordsmiths, and he trained with his mother from childhood. Later he studied under the Wuju masters up in the mountains, who forbade him to come down. But when Noxus invaded Ionia, Yi and the other students went into battle.
Noxus burned Wuju to ash with chemical fire in a single night, and Yi was the only one who survived. For years he meditated among the ruins, until a cheeky vastaya named Kong turned up.
WukongStudentKong went looking for the masters of Wuju and found only ruins and Yi. Yi trained him and gave him an enchanted staff and the name Wukong, and now the two travel together.
