The story in short
Mel's story is a letter to her mother, written as her ship sails toward Noxus. Her mother, Ambessa, is gone, and a soldier has just handed Mel her mother's mask.
The letter reveals that Mel has recently discovered a magic hidden inside her, and has learned how much her mother kept from her: the truth about her father, who killed her brother Kino, and the Black Rose's vendetta that hunted her mother for years. Mel regrets she couldn't fight at her side, but she'll never abandon the way of the fox. Now she's coming back as a stranger to the land she was born in, determined to uncover all of it.
