Ionia
A hunter fused with Varus
Kai is an Ionian beast hunter. Mortally wounded near the temple of Pallas, he fell into the grip of the Darkin Varus along with his beloved Valmar: Varus built himself a new body out of theirs. Kai hasn't given up. From the inside, he fights to stop the Darkin whenever Varus turns his bow on the innocent.
Valmar and Kai are beast hunters, and they love each other. When Kai was mortally wounded near the temple of Pallas, Valmar carried him inside, hoping the magic there would save him, and the two were fused with Varus. They still hope their love will win out over the Darkin's hatred.
